New Zealand Rugby Players Association

October 2023 - Present

New Zealand

The New Zealand Rugby Players Association (NZRPA) is the independent representative body for professional rugby players in New Zealand.

Since October 2023, I’ve been working as a designer for the NZRPA on creating a modern, player-centric approach to the organisation’s visual identity and communications. Helping to shape a forward-thinking brand voice that resonates with both current and retired professional rugby players.

This role has involved collaborating extensively, synthesising diverse ideas, and effectively managing time and budgets to deliver high-impact collateral. My work is driven by the commitment we have as an organisation that not only meets the needs of players but also speaks to the values and strategic deliverables of the NZRPA, ensuring that every design is relevant, inclusive, and future-ready.

Key design achievements:

  • NZRPA Rebranding: Full visual redesign of the NZRPA logo and identity, modernising the aesthetic while preserving brand heritage. Multimedia content design and updating collateral to continuously support and reinforce the refreshed brand.

  • NZRPA Website: UI design and creative direction for the NZRPA website re-design - Working closely with web developers to improve user experience.

  • ‘The Rugby Club’ Website: Creative direction, graphic design (brand identity, logo, and collateral), and UI design for the ‘The Rugby Club’ website - Working with the NZRPA, web developers, photographers, videographers and designers to bring to life, an engaging online platform for retired players.

  • ‘The Aftermatch’ Program Launch: Creative direction for the launch of the ‘The Aftermatch’ program, on-set directing, editing, and graphic design for the program’s launch video and collateral.

  • Ideation and innovation: Contributing to creative brainstorming with NZPRA management on future ideas and evolution of the NZRPA. As well as continued graphic design services
